Volunteer Opportunities

Get involved with the Berlin community! Here are some ideas:

SCC Running Volunteer Club

Berlin's international half marathon (March/ April) and marathon (September) are one of the most exciting races in the world.

Come help 25,000 runners from over 90 countries take to the streets of Germany´s capital to battle it out for the top spot on the podium!  Berlin´s flat streets make these races the fastest in Germany with many records being set by participants.

Being a volunteer for one of the races organized by the SCC running club is a great way to get experience in organizing events.  You can practice your language skills and even get a cool looking free t-shirt!  For the donation of your time you will also receive a participation certificate.  If you are interested, please visit
http://www.scc-events.com/corporate/volunteers/ to sign up!

Local Schools

If you are interested in volunteering at a local school, please ask Liane about opportunities.

Meet US

Americans in Dialogue with Young Germans about Life in the U.S.A.

This is a program of the Embassy and Consulates of the Unites States of America in Germany. The program brings Americans together with secondary school students in Germany to engage them in dialogue about everyday life in the United States.

Any interested American living or visiting Germany is invited to volunteer as a speaker. The visits are not structured as formal lectures, but rather an open and direct dialogue between the guest speakers and the students.

For more information on this program, visit the Embassy's website at http://germany.usembassy.gov/germany/meetus.html
